Dave Camarillo Seminar

Dave%20Camarillo%20Cut%20Out.png

Last night was a rare treat.  Dave Camarillo visited our club and taught a class in BJJ 101.   If you don’t know Dave, he is one of the most decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts around and just happens to have a black belt in Judo as well.  He has garnered favor among top judo players as well as many of the UFC stars (who he coaches).  Some examples include Mike Swick, Josh Koscheck, and Jon Fitch to name a few.  His success has been phenomenal.

I have known Dave for a couple of years and try when I can to train with him, but those sessions have been few and far between given my work schedule and his academy being in San Jose.  However, last night reminded me of what I have been missing.  His understanding of the art is incredible, but more importantly, his self-effacing attitude and ability to convey the basics with clarity is awe inspiring.  Man, I need to get down to San Jose more often!

To learn a bit of Dave’s unique blend of BJJ and Judo, check out his book or videos.

I certainly hope he can make it up again sometime soon.

We all motivate each other brother. No one can do it alone. Thanks for writing and definitely Dave's site (www.mmafaestro.com) is a great resource and it is only getting better!

Have a great night!

Paul
